Get your heart start pumping and join in the jumping!

The following classes will be participating in Jump Rope for Heart on the following days during their PE time.

Tuesday February 20- 10:00- 4th Grade- Goldstein & Tidwell 

                                    11:00- 3rd Grade- Tomblin, Sasser, & Rentz

                                    12:55- 2nd Grade- Adams, Hawkins & Flowers

Wednesday February 21- 11:00- 3rd Grade- Lawson

Thursday February 22- 10:00- 4th Grade- Martin, Hackney, 

                                   12:55- 2nd Grade- Conoway, Palmer, Graber

Be sure to cool off with some cool dads and enjoy some Popsicles with Pop

after this special Jump Rope For Heart event! See you there!

Congratulations Jada Hunt and Gavin Chick for being selected as the February Students of the Month for Bay Elmentary.

Gavin and Jada attend Mrs. Hackney's 4th grade class. Mrs. Hackney reports that they were selected for their leadership abilities and their willingness to help others in class.

We are proud of you, Jada and Gavin.

Based on weather reports and communication with our local EOC, Walotn County Schools will be closed tomorrow, January 17, 2018.

Also, all out of county after school activities today, (no out of county travel) January 16 are canceled. A decision about Thursday will be made at 1:00 PM on Wednesday. 

BES Recycling Efforts

Bay Elementary School Student Council wants to lend a helping hand to improve our environment.They've begun by collecting itmes for recycling. You can help too. Make sure to place aluminum cans and plastic items in one of the recycle bins on campus.

Congratulations Kiwanis Students of the Month!

Sammy Souder and Meyshia Kennedy were selected to represent Bay Elementary as the Students of the Month at the monthly Kiwanis Club breakfast. Sammy and Meyshia were selected by their teacher Mrs. Tonya Tidwell for their excellence in the classroom.  Way to go Sammy and Meyshia!

A BIG thank you to Chef Jim Shirley of The Bay and Great Southern Restaurants for catering our schoolwide family Thanksgiving Feast!

Chef Shirley gives must of his time and support to local schools and Bay is thankful for his generosity.  He is also a board member of the Seaside Neighborhood School and hosts local Special Olympics Yolo contests at the Bay. 

Thank you again Chef Shirley for your commitment to education, your community support of our special kiddos, and your generosity!

Special thank you to everyone who braved the cold rain for our signature event, Sweets with Santa!  Bay Boosters worked so hard preparing and once again ROCKED IT! 

Parents, staff and students filled the hallways as we welcomed the holiday season together with holiday sweet treats, musical performances by Ms. Sober's classes, holiday crafts, a wonderful silent auction and of course ... SANTA!

Proceeds raised by Bay Boosters this school year will provide hands-on STEM educational resources for all grade levels!  We appreciate your support and the impact your generosity makes in the lives of our students.
