During her 30-year career in education, Mrs. Donna Simmons has been blessed to serve in Freeport schools as a middle and high school English Teacher, Assistant Principal, and Principal (2019). She earned both her Bachelor's degree in Middle School/Junior High Education and her Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida. As principal, Mrs. Simmons has led Freeport High School students and staff to rank among the top five public high schools in the state of Florida. Mrs. Simmons' children are proud alumni of Freeport High School.

Russell Phillips serves as the TSA/Assistant Principal at Freeport High School. He holds a bachelor's degree in Editing, Writing, and Media from Florida State University, along with a Master of Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. As an educator with nine years of experience, Mr. Phillips has taught subjects such as English, AP classes, and various reading courses spanning grades 6 through 12. As a proud alumnus of Freeport High School, he takes pride in his role of supporting students at all levels and contributing to the growth of the Freeport Community.
