FUN RUN

October 23, 2015

On October 23rd, the Bay Boosters will host the first Annual Fun Run!  Students will seek pledges to support running "laps" during the fun run.  Look for pledge forms to come home with students after October 5th.  Plan to join your "runner" on Oct 23rd during their regularly scheduled PE class to cheer them on.  All funds raised will be used to support technology and educational resources for Bay Elementary School.  For more information, visit the Bay Booster's website at bayboosters.com

Music in Pictures

These 2nd grade studentss were excited to listen to musicians from FSU as part of the Rosemary Beach Foundation's Music in pictures. 

These students were excited to learn about fire safety with the help of the South Walton Fire Department.

Veteran's Day Program

Please join Bay Elementary as we salute Veterans and our military heros serving today at our annual Veteran's Day Celebration. Two programs will be held November 10th. One at 8:00 a.m. and one at 9:15 a.m. 

Book Fair

BES Book Fair will be held from November 16-20. Make plans to visit the library and check out the great selections.

READING DAY is October 8th

     at Bay Elementary

 Students will enjoy a day focused on reading and literature including an  opportunity for every child to hear guest authors read their own books and tell how they developed a love for reading and writing.  We are bringing literature to life!!!!

Guest authors will include:

 John Hollan, resides in Santa Rosa Beach

“The Adventure of the Starfish Family”

Part of The Artists at Gulf Place
 
Kay Heath, resides in Georgia and is a former 2nd Grade teacher
“Ida Clair” series and more for children ages 2-7
Sue Higginbotham, resides in Navarre, FL
“Getting to Know Raccoon Ray”
“Jumbo of the Ole Swimming Hole” and more children’s books

Authors will have booths set up on the stage and students will have the opportunity to visit the Author’s booths to see the many published books.  Students may bring money to purchase an autographed book during their classrooms visit to the Author’s booths if you would like.     Booths will be open after dismissal should parents want to join their child to visit Author’s booths.   Most books range $5-$25

 

DISMISSAL is at 11:15 a.m.
