Achievement or Proficiency is a point-in-time measure that evaluates how well students perform against a standard. In contrast, progress is measured by how much "growth"students make over time, typically from one year to the next. Both of these measures are important, but they provide different information.  Current data shows students at Bay Elementary are progressing as they should to ensure growth.

Ways parents can help?  Continue to READ, READ, READ!   Encourage your students to participate in the Accelerated Reader program where they are challenged by their book level and move up to the next challenging level.   Ask your teacher or our Media Specialist Heather O'Toole if you want to know more about your child's current reading level and how you can get them excited to READ more and GROW in Reading!
