Bio:

My family fell in love with the beautiful South Walton area while visiting my brother who lives in Blue Mountain Beach.  We loved this area so much that we moved here in 2015.  I have been married to Wayne for 25 years and we have 3 sons, Jacob who is married to Gabriella, Evan who is a fire fighter for Walton County Fire and Rescue, and Aaron who is a student at South Walton High School. We also have fur babies we rescued: a 3 legged cat named Lt. Dan,  a one eyed Beagle named Buckeye, and a Great Dane named Stella.

We enjoy the beach and golfing, and our lives revolve around lacrosse!  All of our boys currently play or have played and Wayne coaches for SWHS.

I also love to cook and bake, do machine embroidery, and quilt when and if I get a spare moment!

Jennifer Brambley

Bio

My name is Jennifer Brambley. I am originally from Louisville, Kentucky but I’ve lived here for almost 16 years now, so Santa Rosa Beach feels like home.

I graduated from Oglethorpe University in 1994 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I spent the last 5 years substitute teaching at Butler Elementary working with PreK - 4th grade students. I really enjoyed working with the little ones so when the opportunity came up to work full time at Bay, I knew I couldn’t pass it up. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this school and the Bay family.

I have a 15 year old daughter named Stella. She is a Freshman at South Walton High School. Stella plays travel volleyball so I enjoy spending time watching her play and getting to travel with her. I also enjoy spending time with my boyfriend Jason, movies, being outside doing yard work, going to concerts, going to the beach, and playing tennis.   I love watching sports, especially University of Georgia football. My college was a small Liberal Arts University in Atlanta, Georgia and since we didn’t have a team I became a big UGA fan. GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite food is Mexican food. My favorite ice cream is double chocolate chip. My favorite band is Mumford and Sons and my favorite color is blue. I have a cat named Copper and dog named Petey.

Payton Merchant

My name is Payton Malloy. I have lived in this beautiful state all my life. I live in DeFuniak Springs on a 100-hundred-acre farm. I call it my “little piece of heaven”.

I graduated from Paxton High School in 2017. I then attended Northwest Florida State College and received my A. A. degree. I am currently attending University of West Florida where I am getting a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in ESE. Since graduating from high school, I substituted until I was lucky enough to be offered a job at Bay School as a paraprofessional. My mom has been a teacher for 31 years so growing up I always knew teaching was what I wanted to do. Teaching has always been a part of my life. Being a teacher’s kid was difficult at times, but it taught me a lot in life. I love my Bay school family and I love what I do!

I love the outdoors. My most favorite thing to do on my time is spend time with my fiancé. We will be getting married March 13, 2021. We do almost everything together. We enjoy hunting and fishing together. I swear it never ends; it is a year-round hobby. We love hanging out and doing things with our friends and family. One of our favorite things is taking our boat out for a ride whether it is at the river, lake, or the bay. I absolutely love being in the water whether it’s on a creek, at the lake, bay, or beach but I would have to say the beach is my favorite. There is just something about the salty air and the waves splashing. I love spending time with my family and friends, they are the ones who make my world go around. My family is such a big part of my life and they mean a lot to me.

My favorite food would have to be seafood or steak. I do have to say I am a pushover for good home cooking though. My nannie knows the way to my heart and that is cooking me up a big pot of greens of any kind with some corn bread and sweet tea. I also love sweets of any kind they are sort of my weakness. I am obsessed with chocolate anything. I am also obsessed with anything cheetah print it is my favorite.
