Student Enrollment & Registration

Florida Statute 1002.31 states that beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, each district school board shall allow a parent from any school district in the state whose child is not subject to a current expulsion or suspension to enroll his or her child in and transport his or her child to any public  school that has not reached capacity in the district, subject to the maximum class size.  In accordance with this new requirement, Walton County School District has developed and will implement a Controlled Open Enrollment Plan for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year.

Kindergarten Registration

Welcome to Bay

Kindergarten Registration will be held April 17-28, 2017 for the 2017-18 School Year.

Bay Elementary will host a Kindergarten Roundup Open House on Monday, April 17, 2017 5:30, to provide parents and children an opportunity to meet our dynamic staff and Kindergarten team, tour the school and visit Kindergarten classrooms, ask questions and receive support on documents needed to begin "big school."

To register your little one for Kindergarten, required documentation includes:

  • Completed Registration Form 

 The following forms are due before the first day of Kindergarten in August 2017  

  • Original/Stamped Birth Certificate for child who must be the age of five (5) on or before September 1st, 2017
  •  Immunization Record (Blue Card)
  •  Physical Form (Yellow Card)
  •  Copy of Social Security Card
  • One proof of residency with the address you provide on the registration form (acceptable forms of include driver’s license, utility bill, lease or rental agreement)

1st-4th Grade Student Registration

Welcome to Bay

New students and transfer students are required to complete the same paperwork to attend Bay Elementary School.  

  •  Completed Registration Form 
  •  Original/Stamped Birth Certificate 
  •  Immunization Record (Blue Card)
  • Physical Form (Yellow Card)
  • Copy of Social Security Card
  • One proof of residency with the address you provide on the registration form (acceptable forms of include driver’s license, utility bill, lease or rental agreement)
  • Transcripts/Grades/Report Card from previous school or portfolio if homeschooled
  • Copy of Indvidual Education Plan or 504 Plan if appropriate

A placement test may be given to new students entering Bay Elementary to determine the academic placement.
